Job summary

Anglicare Sydney seeks an experienced Program Lead to head Counselling and Family Mental Health Support Services in Shoalhaven/Dapto. You will lead Counsellors, Case Managers and students, while maintaining a small clinical caseload and delivering evidence-based counselling.

You will provide strategic leadership, clinical guidance and oversight of service delivery, collaborations with schools, NSW Health and community agencies, and ongoing quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience guiding multidisciplinary teams.
• Minimum of 5 years’ leadership experience with children, young people and families.
• Extensive counselling and/or family therapy experience.
• Experience with complex case management and psychosocial/risk assessments.
• Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams and providing clinical supervision.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed and family-centred practice.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and supervise Counsellors, Case Managers and student placements.
• Foster a high-performing, values-driven team culture.
• Provide clinical leadership and practice guidance across counselling and case management.
• Maintain a small clinical caseload delivering evidence-based counselling.
• Manage a portfolio of complex family case management clients.
• Undertake psychosocial, mental health and risk assessments.
• Develop Family Support Plans and therapeutic intervention plans.
• Coordinate care across schools, NSW Health, GPs and community agencies.
• Facilitate case conferences and multidisciplinary planning meetings.
• Build referral pathways with internal and external stakeholders.
• Promote services through community engagement and partnerships.
• Monitor quality, outcomes, budgets and KPIs; ensure funding compliance.
• Lead service innovation and continuous improvement; align with Anglicare's mission.
