Job summary

Carey is seeking a highly organised, proactive Program Assistant to support the delivery of our Outdoor Education and Carey Zero programs. You will work closely with the Head of Outdoor Education, Head of Zero Program, teaching staff and external providers to ensure the programs run smoothly.

This 12 month role commences in Term 1, 2027, supporting students during Year 7 Outdoor Education, Year 9 Wabonga, and Year 10 Carey Zero programs through administrative and operational tasks.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational and administrative capabilities with high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative and adaptable teamwork approach.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Desirable Wilderness First Aid, Anaphylaxis qualifications, or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist Outdoor Education and Carey Zero teams with program delivery and day-to-day operations.
• Prepare resources, equipment and materials for camps and activities.
• Support set-up and pack-down of activities and events.
• Coordinate logistics for Year 7, Year 9 Wabonga and Year 10 Carey Zero programs.
• Provide operational support at selected camps and events.
• Support staff in creating engaging learning experiences for students.
