Responsibilities

• Assist Outdoor Education and Carey Zero teams with program delivery and day-to-day operations.
• Prepare resources, equipment and materials for camps, excursions and activities.
• Support set-up and pack-down of activities and events.
• Coordinate practical and logistical aspects of Year 7, Year 9 Wabonga and Year 10 Carey Zero programs.
• Attend selected camps and events to provide operational support.
• Assist staff in creating positive and engaging learning experiences for students.
• Promote student engagement, inclusion and participation.
• Support student wellbeing and safety processes.
• Collaborate with staff and external providers to ensure programs run effectively.
• Undertake a range of administrative and operational tasks to support program leaders.

Carey is seeking a highly organised, proactive and passionate Program Assistant to support the delivery of our renowned Outdoor Education and Carey Zero programs.

Working closely with the Head of Outdoor Education, Head of Zero Program, teaching staff and external providers, this role provides essential administrative, logistical and operational support across some of Carey's most impactful student experiences, including the Year 7 Outdoor Education Program, Year 9 Wabonga Program, and the Year 10 Carey Zero Program.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys working behind the scenes to make complex programs run smoothly, and is passionate about supporting student growth through experiential learning.

This is a 12 month position, commencing in Term 1, 2027.

The role:

As a Program Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the successful planning and delivery of our programs by:
