Job summary

Crusader Hose Pty Ltd in Melbourne is seeking a reliable Production Worker for a 3-6 month contract with overtime. You will test, roll and pack hose products, operate production machinery and assist with daily runs in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

You must be physically capable of lifting up to 15 kg, follow instructions, maintain a clean workspace and observe health and safety procedures. Forklift licence is preferred; training will be provided to the right candidate.

Job description

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Production Worker to join our manufacturing team on a 3-6 month contract with some overtime required. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will play an important role in supporting our day-to-day production operations. You will be testing, rolling and packing manufactured hoses, operate machinery, assist with production runs, maintain a safe and tidy work environment, and ensure products are manufactured to the required quality standards. This is a hands on, physical labour role involving lots of lifting and moving hose, including machine operation.

Key responsibilities

• Test, brand, assemble, roll up and pack away hose products
• Operate production machinery safely and efficiently in accordance with work instructions and quality procedures
• Assist with machine set-up and daily production runs
• Assist with machine cleaning and general housekeeping
• Follow job-specific work instructions and established procedures
• Identify and report quality issues, errors, hazards, equipment faults or maintenance requirements to the Supervisor
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hearing protection where required
• Keep the Supervisor informed of production progress and any issues that arise
• Work cooperatively and communicate respectfully with colleagues and managers
• Attend team meetings and contribute to agreed actions

About you

• Physically capable of frequently lifting, unwinding, dragging hoses weighing 15kg
• Is comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment
• Is reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work
• Has a strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Can follow instructions and established procedures accurately
• Has good attention to detail and a focus on quality

• Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience will be highly regarded, however, we are also open to candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn
• Forklift licence preferred

Rostered Working Days

• Monday - Thursday 1:30pm - 10pm (some overtime required)
• Friday 12pm - 6:30pm
