Job summary

EnerMech in Brisbane is seeking a hands-on Hose Management Technician to join our growing industrial services team on a permanent full-time basis. You will support the Ampol Oil Refinery in Lytton, overseeing hose integrity programs, QA/QC, and on-site safety.

You will inspect, manufacture, test, and deliver hose assemblies, coordinate logistics to client sites, and provide technical guidance on hose specifications while building strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years in mechanical/hydraulic or hose/industrial workshop environments.
  • Ability to read and follow technical procedures and industry standards.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Current driver’s licence and Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and manage hose assemblies.
  • QA/QC for hose manufacture, delivery, and dispatch.
  • Manufacture hose assemblies per procedures and standards.
  • Assist with hose pressure testing and certification.
  • Coordinate hose deliveries to customer sites.

About the Role

Are you mechanically minded, quality focused, and looking for a hands-on role within a growing industrial services business? We are seeking a Hose Management Technician to join our Brisbane team in a permanent full-time capacity.

This role will be primarily supporting the Ampol Oil Refinery in Lytton, playing a key role in the planning, execution and safety of the Hose Integrity Management program on-site.

Reporting to the Hose Management Team, you will play an integral role in ensuring the safe manufacture, inspection, testing, and delivery of hose assemblies while providing exceptional customer support and technical expertise.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Receiving, inspecting, and managing incoming and outgoing hose assemblies.
  • Conducting QA/QC activities associated with hose manufacture, delivery, and dispatch.
  • Manufacturing hose assemblies in accordance with company procedures and relevant industry standards.
  • Assisting with hose pressure testing and certification activities.
  • Coordinating hose deliveries and logistics to customer sites.
  • Carrying out hose inspection, maintenance, and management activities at client locations.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customer representatives and hose focal points.
  • Providing technical assistance regarding hose specifications, applications, and maintenance requirements.
  • Conducting inspections of used hose assemblies and preparing detailed condition reports for customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintaining a safe, organised, and efficient workshop environment.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:

  • Minimum 2+ years experience in a mechanical, hydraulic, hose, industrial services, maintenance, or workshop environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Experience with quality assurance and inspection processes.
  • The ability to read and follow technical procedures and industry standards.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Confidence in using Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
  • Good organisational and time management abilities.
  • A current driver's licence.
  • Full Australian Working Rights
  • A proactive attitude and commitment to workplace safety.
Desirable
  • Experience in hose assembly, hydraulic systems, fluid transfer equipment, or asset integrity services.
  • Exposure to industrial, mining, oil & gas, manufacturing, marine, or bulk fluids industries.
  • Forklift licence.
  • Pressure testing or inspection experience.
