Job summary

Parker Hannifin in Dandenong South, VIC, is seeking a Hose Assembler/Assembly Operator to manufacture hydraulic hoses and assemble to customer specifications, Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week.

Experience in hose assembly preferred; however Parker offers training. The role suits a mechanically minded individual who enjoys teamwork and is prepared to learn, with additional forklift licence preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of previous experience in hydraulic hose assembly.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• A positive, "can do" attitude.
• Forklift Licence preferable.

Responsibilities

• Timely manufacture of hydraulic hoses to fulfill customer requirements; meeting customer’s deadlines
• Ensure hose assemblies are manufactured accurately according to the required specifications; product, length, orientation and crimp dimensions as well as testing and tagging
• Conduct requiredtests for the hoses to ensure high level of quality
• Pick, Issue and complete Works Orders
• Cut & Deburr Hose Material
• Proper use of machinery in and around the hose assembly area such as crimpers, cut off saws, lathes and testing equipment
• Basic understanding of Warehouse procedures and OH&S expectations

This is a very exciting opportunity for a self-motivatedand reliable Hose Assembler / Assembly Operator whowants to join a world leading company. Although experience within the Hose Industry is preferred, Parker will provide an opportunity to a mechanically minded individual who is prepared to learn.

The role is located in Dandenong South, VIC. Work hours are Monday - Friday, 38 per week.

Reporting to the Technical Service Supervisor,main responsibilities will be:

Timely manufacture of hydraulic hoses to fulfill customer requirements; meeting customer’s deadlines

Ensure hose assemblies are manufactured accurately according to the required specifications; product, length, orientation and crimp dimensions as well as testing and tagging

Conduct requiredtests for the hoses to ensure high level of quality

Pick, Issue and complete Works Orders

The ideal candidate will also be trained in the following job tasks and responsibilities.

Cut & Deburr Hose Material

Proper use of machinery in and around the hose assembly area such as crimpers, cut off saws, lathes and testing equipment
