Job summary

Obela, part of PepsiCo ANZ, is seeking a Team Leader to oversee daily production operations at our Adelaide-area facility. You will provide frontline leadership, drive safety, quality, and efficiency, and support continuous improvement initiatives within the Production function.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, coaching of operators, and collaboration with supervision to meet KPI targets and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in FMCG/manufacturing with 2 years in a team leader/2IC role.
• Desirable Certificate IV in Engineering, Manufacturing, Food Technology or Business.
• Desirable Lean Six Sigma, HACCP, GMP and WHS training.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day production operations and supervise a team.
• Coordinate workloads and support other team leaders on site.

The Team Leader role is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations within the Production function while supporting the supervisor.

• Location: Cavan (SA)
• Position: Full Time Permanent
• Shift Hours: Monday to Friday 2:00pm to 10:00pm

The Team Leader is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of a production area within the Operations function. Providing hands‑on leadership, supports continuous improvement initiatives and fosters a culture of safety, accountability, and strong team performance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient operations to achieve business KPI’s across Safety – People and Food, Productivity and Team Engagement.
• Lead the team, coordinates workloads, and provides support to other team leaders on site.
• Monitors issues and ensures quality standards and product targets are met.
• Provide frontline leadership, coaching, training, and support to team members.
• Supports a culture of Safety and continuous improvement.
• Complying with company Quality, GMP, Hygiene and Food Safety policies, standards and procedures.
• Provide daily reporting to the Supervisor as required.
• Induct and support new production operators and labour hire personnel.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of FMCG or Manufacturing experience with 2 years in team leader / 2IC role.
• Certificate IV in Engineering, Manufacturing, Food Technology or Business (desirable).
• Green Belt – Lean Six Sigma & HACCP, GMP and WHS training (desirable).
• Ability to organise and prioritise while working in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using production downtime systems and problem solving where required.
• Collaborative team player with an ability to lead a diverse group of people, showcasing your strong communication skills.
• A good understanding of safety, food safety, and quality.
• Awareness/knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing.
• A passion for food.
