Job summary

Obela, part of PepsiCo ANZ, is hiring a Production Operator - Packaging in Australia. The role is full-time permanent with afternoon shift hours (2:00pm–10:00pm) in Cavan, SA. You will operate packaging equipment, ensure quality, safety and GMP compliance, and participate in job rotation.

Ideal candidates have FMCG experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and good communication skills. Forklift and walkie stacker experience are preferred. Onsite parking is available.

Qualifications

• Previous FMCG or Food Manufacturing experience desirable.
• Experience in operation, cleaning, changeovers and preventative/general maintenance.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and comprehension.
• Forklift licence preferred.
• Walkie Stackers operation and handling.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and processes on the packaging line.
• Identify hazards and coordinate with Team Leader to rectify.
• Comply with Quality, GMP, Hygiene and Food Safety policies.
• Complete production, quality and safety paperwork.
• Perform preventative/general maintenance on equipment.
• Support team through rotation and collaborative work.

Currently we have a opportunity to join our Obela team as a Production Operator - Packaging.

Details:

• Location: Cavan (SA)
• Position: Full Time Permanent
• Shift Hours: Monday to Friday 2:00pm to 10:00pm

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery/equipment or processes
• Identify hazards and work with Team Leader to rectify
• Comply with Quality, GMP, Hygiene and Food Safety policies, standards and procedures
• Complete all relevant production, quality and safety related paperwork
• Perform preventative and general maintenance on food production equipment
• Willingness to work in a team environment and participate in job rotation practices

Qualifications

• Previous experience in FMCG or Food Manufacturing Industry (desirable)
• Proven experience in operation, clean, change over and conducting preventative/general maintenance
• Strong mechanical aptitude and mechanical comprehension
• Forklift licence (not essential but preferred)
• Walkie Stacker operation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
