Job summary

QTank is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead our Stapylton manufacturing team. The role focuses on safe, efficient production, on-time delivery and high-quality output. You will work closely with the Production Manager to maximize productivity while upholding QTank's quality and continuous improvement standards.

We value hands-on leaders who support staff development, quickly resolve issues and drive manufacturing performance. Strong supervisory experience and a focus on safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a production/manufacturing supervisory or leadership role.
• Demonstrated knowledge of WHS obligations and safe work procedures.
• Strong leadership, motivation and people-management skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good verbal and written communication, accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Supervise factory operations and coordinate daily production activities to achieve scheduled output.
• Monitor workflow and allocate labour efficiently.
• Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are completed for all machinery and forklifts.
• Ensure production paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
• Monitor factory housekeeping standards and minimise downtime through proactive planning.
• Lead and develop production staff through coaching, attendance and performance management.
• Maintain competency and training records.
• Set and achieve daily production targets and maintain quality standards.
• Ensure staff work safely and follow Safe Work Procedures.

About the role

We are looking for Production Supervisor to join our manufacturing team at our Stapylton facility.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading the day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure production is completed safely, efficiently, on time and to the highest quality standards. The role is accountable for supervising production employees, coordinating workflow, maintaining equipment, ensuring compliance and workplace health and safety legislation, and fostering a positive, high-performing team culture. The Production Supervisor will work closely with the Production Manager to maximise productivity while maintaining Q-Solution's commitment to quality, continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. The position requires a hands-on leader who leads by example, supports staff development, solves production issues quickly and continually seeks opportunities to improve manufacturing performance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise factory operations and coordinate daily production activities to achieve scheduled output.
• Monitor workflow and allocate labour efficiently.
• Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are completed for all machinery and forklifts
• Ensure production paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
• Monitor factory housekeeping standards and ensure production downtime is minimised through proactive planning.
• Lead and develop production staff by demonstrating professional leadership, monitoring attendance and performance, training and mentoring new employees.
• Maintain all competency and training records in Employment Hero.
• Ensure effective output by setting and achieving daily production targets and ensuring quality expectations are adhered to.
• Ensure production staff work in a safe manner, follow all Safe Work Procedures, and wear appropriate PPE

About you

• Previous experience in a production/manufacturing supervisory or leadership role.
• Working knowledge of WHS obligations and safe work procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and manage a production team.
• Strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to quality.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, including accurate completion of paperwork/records.
• Ability to plan and manage staff workloads to meet daily production targets.
• Basic computer literacy.
• A hands-on, hardworking and driven approach, willing to assist across machine operation, forklift operation and despatch preparation
