Job summary

Detmold Group in Regency Park, SA, is hiring a proactive Machine Operator for a part-time role (36 hours per week) on a rotating day/night roster. You will operate and maintain production equipment to meet technical standards and support the manufacture of consumer packaging products.

You’ll conduct quality checks, perform setup and basic maintenance, troubleshoot downtime, and contribute to 5S housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or supply chain is desirable.
• Ability to set up machines and perform basic maintenance.
• Understanding of OH&S requirements.
• Basic computer skills for reporting and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate equipment according to specifications.
• Conduct quality checks on products to meet technical standards.
• Perform daily roll changes (paper) and general machine cleaning duties.
• Carry out basic preventative maintenance tasks.
• Minimise downtime by troubleshooting and resolving first-response equipment issues.
• Complete accurate reporting on quality, productivity and waste performance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintain high housekeeping standards (5S).

About The Role

We are seeking a proactive and safety-focused Machine Operator to operate and maintain production equipment in line with technical standards for the production of products for well known National Australian Supermarkets. This role is essential to achieving production targets and ensuring product quality.

Key Responsibilities
