Job summary

Prima PMI in Melbourne is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead the day-to-day performance of our production team on the shop floor, reporting to the Production Manager.

You will work closely with Team Leaders, coordinate daily production activity, focus on quality, and help develop frontline staff while ensuring service levels are met.

This role collaborates across Customer Service, Warehouse, OHS and Training to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supervising or leading teams in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Familiarity with production management systems and operational reporting.
• Understanding of quality control and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Supporting Team Leaders to achieve production targets and maintain service level agreements
• Leading toolbox meetings and supporting daily production coordination
• Working with the scheduling team to align on rosters and escalation where required
• Coordinating with the warehouse team to manage stock availability
• Monitoring operational reports and data to identify risks or improvement opportunities
• Conducting monthly 1:1 meetings with Team Leaders to support development
• Supporting performance conversations and coaching where required
• Maintaining strong quality standards and reducing internal defect rates
• Escalating major operational challenges to the Production Manager when required
• You’ll also collaborate across the business with teams including Customer Service, Warehouse, OHS and Production Trainers to support smooth operations
