Job summary

Prima PMI in Melbourne, Australia is seeking a hands-on Inventory Controller to maintain stock accuracy across warehouse and production operations.

You will report to the Replenishment and Inventory Manager and work closely with Warehouse and Production teams to investigate discrepancies, run cycle counts, and support demand planning with reliable stock data.

Qualifications

• Experience in inventory control, warehousing or manufacturing.
• Experience using an ERP or inventory-management system.
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Confidence investigating discrepancies and identifying root causes.
• Passion for Excel.
• A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to spend time on the warehouse and production floor.
• Strong communication, organisation and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Conducting cycle counts, audits and stocktakes.
• Maintaining accurate inventory records in our inventory systems.
• Investigating physical and system stock discrepancies.
• Monitoring inventory receipts, transfers, consumption and adjustments.
• Identifying potential stock shortages and escalating risks early.
• Supporting Warehouse team members with accurate receipting and stock-movement processes.
• Leading a monthly inventory review with Warehouse and Replenishment.
• Tracking corrective actions and following issues through to resolution.
• Providing accurate stock information to support ordering by our Demand Planning team.

Job description

Prima PMI is looking for a hands on, detailed focused Inventory Controller to help maintain accurate stock records across our warehouse and production operations.

Reporting to the Replenishment and Inventory Manager, you will be the local point of contact for inventory accuracy. You’ll work closely with our Warehouse and Production teams to maintain accurate system information, investigate discrepancies, and identify stock risks early.
