Job summary

Prima PMI is seeking a Junior Maintenance Technician to join our on-site Engineering Team in Melbourne. You will help start up and shut down daily production, assist with scheduled maintenance, troubleshoot issues, log faults, and support improvements to equipment performance.

Ideal candidates are hands-on with a passion for mechanical work, with some maintenance experience or an engineering-related qualification.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical work and a willingness to learn
• Some maintenance experience or engineering qualification preferred
• Able to work with engineers and production staff to solve problems

We’re looking for a Junior Maintenance Technicians to join our on-siteEngineering Teamand help start up and shut down our daily production smoothly! Shifts are Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm.

The Role

As a Junior Production Maintenance Technician, you’ll be supporting our team by:

• Assisting with scheduled maintenance on a variety of production machines
• Start up and shut down of machinery essential to our Production Team’s success
• Learning to troubleshoot machine and operator-related issues
• Logging machine faults and maintenance activities
• Supporting the team in improving equipment performance and efficiency
• Working alongside our experienced team to develop your skills

About You

This role is ideal for someone eager to start or grow their career in maintenance and engineering. We’re looking for:

• A hands‑on individual with a passion for mechanical work
• Some experience in maintenance or an engineering‑related qualification (preferred but not essential)
• A problem‑solver who enjoys fixing things and learning new skills
• A team player who communicates well with engineers and production staff
• Someone who takes care of tools, equipment, and company assets
