Asquith Body Works in Sydney is seeking an experienced estimator/ workshop lead to prepare accurate vehicle damage assessments and repair estimates using industry estimating systems.
You will review insurer assessments, coordinate parts, manage production workflow from arrival to final QC, and liaise with insurers, customers and staff.
The role requires strong smash repair experience, expertise with Audanet and IBody, and the ability to drive multiple repairs in a fast-paced workshop.
Prepare accurate vehicle damage assessments and repair estimates using industry estimating systems.
Review insurer assessments, quotes and repair authorities and submit supplements where additional damage is identified.
Ensure all required parts, labour, paint and sublet operations are correctly included in estimates.
Manage the complete production workflow from vehicle arrival through panel, paint, assembly, detailing and final quality control.
Allocate and schedule work across technicians to maximise workshop productivity and minimise vehicle cycle times.
Monitor every job daily and proactively address parts delays, additional damage, technician capacity and other production bottlenecks.
Order and coordinate parts to ensure they are available at the correct stage of the repair.
Liaise professionally with insurance companies, assessors, customers, suppliers and internal staff.
Ensure technicians clearly understand repair methods, job requirements and expected completion dates.
Maintain accurate job notes, repair documentation, photographs, approvals and customer/insurer updates.
Strong smash repair industry experience.
Must have experience with audanet and ibody
Excellent vehicle damage assessment and estimating skills.
Solid understanding of panel and paint repair processes.
Strong organisational and leadership abilities.
Ability to manage multiple repairs and priorities in a fast-paced workshop environment.
Experience dealing with insurance companies and assessors.
Experience with estimating software, repair methods, parts procurement and production planning.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and commercial awareness.
