Qualifications

• Experience as Automotive or Vehicle Estimator, or a qualified Panel Beater seeking a change.
• Strong knowledge of repair methods, vehicle parts and labour costing.
• Experience working with insurers and repair approvals.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Assess damaged vehicles in person and via photos/images.
• Prepare accurate repair estimates and determine repair methods.
• Liaise with insurance assessors and manage approvals.
• Ensure labour times, repair costs and parts are viable.
• Order parts and coordinate approved bookings; review active repairs.
• Maintain detailed records in internal systems.

About the Role

As the Vehicle Estimator, you will play a key role in the repair process, assessing vehicle damage, preparing accurate quotes, liaising with insurersand ensuring repairs are commercially and operationally efficient from start to finish.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy workshop environment, has strong industry knowledgeand takes pride in delivering quality outcomes for both customers and the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess damaged vehicles both in-person and via photos/images
• Prepare accurate repair estimates and determine appropriate repair methods
• Liaise with insurance assessors and manage approvals throughout the process
• Ensure labour times, repair costsand parts requirements are commercially viable
• Order parts and coordinate approved job bookingsReview active repairs for any labour or parts variations
• Maintain detailed and accurate records within internal systems
• Communicate effectively with customers, insurers, suppliersand workshop teams

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring strong estimating experience along with the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience as an Automotive or Vehicle Estimator / aqualified Panel Beater seeking a change in their career
• Strong knowledge of repair methods, vehicle partsand labour costing
• Experience working with insurers and repair approvals
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
