Job summary

Inspect vehicles, interpret repair requirements, use estimating software (Ibodyshop, Audatex) and OEM data, document findings, track revisions, and coordinate with the workshop on parts and scheduling to support timely repairs.

Role Description The Automotive Estimator at H Harvey Prestige is a full-time, on-site role based in Gold Coast, QLD. The person in this position is responsible for assessing vehicle damage, preparing accurate repair estimates, and liaising with customers, technicians, and insurers to ensure clarity on scope of work and costs. Daily tasks include inspecting vehicles, interpreting repair requirements, using estimating software and OEM repair procedures, and documenting all findings in line with company standards and insurer guidelines. The role also involves tracking estimate revisions, coordinating with the workshop on parts and scheduling, and maintaining clear, professional communication to support a smooth repair process and high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to inspect vehicles and accurately assess collision and cosmetic damage, including structural, mechanical, and paint-related issues.
• Proficiency with automotive estimating software (e.g.,Ibodyshop, Audatex), OEM repair data, and basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, documentation).
• Solid understanding of body repair processes, parts sourcing, labor times, and quality standards in a prestige or high-end workshop environment.
• Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain estimates clearly to customers, insurers, and internal teams.
• Strong attention to detail, numeracy, and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize work and manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
• Collaborative mindset, able to work closely with technicians, service advisors, and management to deliver accurate and timely repair outcomes.
• Previous experience as an automotive estimator, panel beater, or in a related automotive repair or insurance role is highly desirable.
• Relevant trade qualification or certification in automotive repair, panel beating, or a related field is an advantage; a valid driver's license is required.
