Job summary

Nutrien Ag Solutions at Laverton North near Melbourne is seeking a hands-on Production Operator to join a state-of-the-art facility producing plant nutrition, crop protection and agricultural products for Australian farmers. You’ll be part of a close-knit team blending, packaging and preparing products while upholding safety, quality and efficiency.

Operate automated packaging lines, complete documentation, support GMP, and contribute to loading, stock control and line clearances.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing/production environments, preferably agricultural or chemical.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Available to work morning and afternoon rotational shifts.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated packaging lines and plant equipment.
• Complete manufacturing documentation accurately.
• Support quality control processes for end-use products and packaging.
• Monitor safe work practices and promote a safety-first culture.
• Wrap, strap, and stage stock on pallets for loading and dispatch.
• Label and cap drums used in production.
• Fill products into designated pack sizes using machinery.
• Conduct stock counts and complete associated paperwork.
• Assist with GMP, including cleaning and line clearances.
• Perform other duties to support the production facility.
• Operate forklifts to move and stage stock.

What you’ll do:

Based at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Laverton North, you'll help produce and distribute essential plant nutrition, crop protection and agricultural products that support Australian farmers. Working as part of a close-knit production team, you'll play a hands-on role in blending, packaging and preparing products while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and efficiency.

• Operate automated packaging lines and various plant equipment.
• Complete manufacturing documentation accurately and thoroughly.
• Support quality control processes for end-use products and packaging.
• Monitor safe work practices and assist in promoting a safety-first culture.
• Wrap, strap, and stage stock on pallets for correct loading and dispatch.
• Label and cap drums used in production.
• Fill products into designated pack sizes using appropriate machinery.
• Conduct stock counts and complete associated paperwork as required.
• Assist with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), including cleaning and line clearances.
• Perform other reasonable duties to support the success of the production facility.
• Operate forklifts and walkie stackers to move and stage stock for production and warehousing.
