Job summary

UOW Pulse is seeking a hands-on Kitchen Attendant to work with the food and beverage team on campus. You will ensure high-quality standards, assist in food prep, clean kitchens, and deliver food across campus.

The role requires a strong understanding of safe food handling, experience with commercial kitchen cleaning, and a flexible roster. A positive attitude and team spirit are essential for success in a production kitchen environment.

Job description

This is a hands-on operational role, where you will be required to work alongside the food and beverage team to ensure consistent, high-quality standards are met within our food production services. In addition, you will need to have the following experience and skills:

Key responsibilities include:

• Washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment
• Cleaning and maintaining kitchen work areas
• Assisting with basic food preparation
• Stocking and rotating supplies
• Delivering food to designated areas across campus
• Supporting the team to maintain food safety and hygiene standards

  You are a team player who is comfortable working independently when required. You understand the importance of food safety, cleanliness and teamwork in a production kitchen environment. You will have:

  • A strong understanding of safe food handling and personal hygiene practices
  • Experience cleaning commercial kitchens and equipment
  • The flexibility to work a varied roster
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic
