Job summary

Sodexo in Sydney is seeking a hands-on Kitchen Hand to support daily kitchen production, bottling, packing and cleaning across Mascot, Alexandria, Barangaroo and Pyrmont sites. You will assist with juice and smoothie preparation, packing orders and maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

Experience in a kitchen, hospitality or food production environment is preferred. Be reliable, punctual and able to perform repetitive tasks with strong attention to detail.

• Support stock rotation and ingredient organisation
• Assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries; including some lifting of heavy boxes and equipment
• Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures at all times
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace throughout the day
• Assist with kitchen cleaning duties and end-of-day cleaning procedures
• Work efficiently as part of a small kitchen team

Job description

The Kitchen Hand supports the day-to-day running of the kitchen across production, bottling, packing, cleaning and general kitchen operations. This is a practical, hands-on role requiring consistency, attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently within a small team environment.

Key responsibilities

Assist with daily kitchen production and preparation tasks

Support bottling, labelling and packing of products

Assist with preparation of juices, smoothies, tonics, soups and mylks

Prepare and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently

Support stock rotation and ingredient organisation

Assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries; including some lifting of some heavy boxes and equipment

Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures at all times

Maintain a clean and organised workspace throughout the day

Assist with kitchen cleaning duties and end-of-day cleaning procedures

About you
