Job summary

Coles Group is recruiting a Process Worker for a PM shift at Banksmeadow to keep production areas clean and safe while supporting changeovers and downtime cleans.

You will operate in a wet, cold production environment and contribute to food safety and quality standards alongside a large team. Training and PPE are provided to ensure safe daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in a wet, cold production environment is preferred.
• Able to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for long periods.
• Willing to learn and complete relevant training.
• Experience in food manufacturing cleaning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise equipment, utensils and production areas to meet food safety and quality standards.
• Support production changeovers, downtime cleans, allergen cleans and start-up readiness activities.

About the role

Join us at Chef Fresh as a Process Worker in a hands‑on role that plays a vital part in keeping our production operations clean, safe and efficient. You’ll ensure equipment, utensils and production areas are cleaned and sanitised to meet food safety, hygiene and quality standards, while supporting your team with production changeovers, downtime cleans, allergen cleans and start‑up readiness activities. All required PPE will be provided to help you perform your daily tasks safely.

About you and your skills

• Comfortable working in a wet, cold and temperature‑controlled production environment
• Capable of safely performing physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods
• Willing to learn and complete relevant training to perform cleaning duties safely and effectively
• Able to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
• Confident safely handling and using cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety procedures and processes
• Take pride in maintaining a clean and safe workplace, following procedures and working as part of a large team

Desired for the role:

• Commercial kitchen hand experience preferred
• Food manufacturing industry cleaning experience
