Job summary

UOW Pulse is seeking a casual Chef to join our Production Kitchen team. You will help create meals for events and venues, contributing to the dining experience with a hands-on, collaborative approach.

As part of a creative team, you will develop new recipes and plating ideas while delivering high standards of food safety, service, and presentation in a campus setting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on operational kitchen experience.

Job description

We are seeking a casual Chef to join our Production Kitchen team. If you're qualified and have experience with food preparation, we want you to help us create great meals for our events and venues.

We take pride in offering a fantastic dining experience that combines delicious food with friendly service. In our kitchen, there's always excitement, whether it's cooking on the grill or putting together beautiful plates of food.

As a Chef, your role isn't just about cooking. You'll be part of a creative team, helping to come up with new recipes, dishes, and ways to prepare food.

About you

This is a hands-on operational role, where you will be required to work alongside teams to deliver exceptional experiences. In addition, you will need to have the following experience and skills:

• Food handling and preparation, knife skills and dishwashing experience in a similar operation.
• Understanding of healthy food products and processes, dietary and religious preferences.
• Experience in stock ordering.
• High standard of professional service and personal presentation.
• Possess excellent organisational, time management and communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
