Job summary

Weeks Homes in Adelaide, part of the NEX Building Group, seeks a Production Estimating Manager to lead the estimating team and deliver accurate construction cost estimates. You will drive workflows, coach staff, and collaborate with procurement to maintain pricing controls.

Ideal candidates will have residential construction estimating leadership experience, a relevant tertiary degree, and a track record of improving estimating accuracy and efficiency.

About the opportunity

The Production Estimating Manager is part of the Weeks Homes Estimating team and reports to the Operations Manager. The key focus of this role is to manage the production estimating workflow whilst leading, developing, and motivating a high performing team to ensure accurate cost estimates for construction projects. More specifically, you will:

• Manage workflows, resources, purchase orders, and estimating budgets to ensure quality and timely delivery
• Identify and resolve issues, driving process improvements and implementing policy changes
• Lead, coach, and develop the Estimating team through regular feedback and support
• Analyse estimating data, invoicing, and budgets to improve accuracy and performance
• Collaborate with Procurement to maintain pricing structures and cost controls
• Prepare reports and insights for senior stakeholders

About you

You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values; better together, be accountable, people matter and think bigger. In addition, you will have:

• Previous experience as a Production Estimating Manager or leading an estimating team within a residential construction
• A tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Building, Engineering, or a related field.
• The ability to drive process improvements to enhance accuracy, productivity, and overall business performance
• Strong relationship management skills collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong understanding of residential construction methods, building codes, and engineering and structural plans
