Job summary

NEX Building Group Pty Ltd, a leading Australian home builder, seeks a Product Development Estimator to cost standard home designs, facades, and options across national brands. You will determine materials and trades and ensure products are accurately costed for launches.

Reporting to the Product Development Manager, you will analyze plans, coordinate with modelling and documentation teams, and review supplier quotations while maintaining records in Wrike and staying updated via SharePoint and

Responsibilities

• Analyse standard plans, facades and option documentation for accuracy and consistency.
• Coordinate amendments with modelling and documentation teams before design launch.
• Review supplier quotations to ensure all items are captured.
• Complete bills of quantities (BOQs) and pricing activities.
• Maintain accurate records and task updates in Wrike.
• Stay informed of estimating updates via SharePoint and Teams.
• Identify and elevate estimating anomalies or discrepancies.
• Review the work of other team members as required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and team environment.

About the opportunity

Reporting to the Product Development Manager, the Product Development Estimator is responsible for accurately determining and calculating the materials and trades required for our standard home designs, facades and options. This role plays an important part in ensuring our products are accurately costed and ready for launch across the business.

More specifically, you will:

• Analyse standard plans, facades and option documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Coordinate amendments with modelling and documentation teams to ensure information is correct prior to design launch
• Review supplier quotations to ensure all required items have been captured
• Complete bills of quantities (BOQs), pricing activities and other estimating projects
• Maintain accurate records and task updates within Wrike
• Stay informed of estimating updates and process changes through SharePoint and Teams
• Identify and elevate estimating anomalies or discrepancies
• Review the work of other team members as required
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support a collaborative team environment

About you

Highly regarded:

• Previous estimating experience within the residential building or construction industry
• Knowledge of the Building Code of Australia (BCA)
• Building Trade Certificate or Certificate IV in Building and Construction
• Experience using BusinessCraft and Companion systems
