Job summary

Alcon in Australia is seeking a motivated Documentation Engineer/Technical Writer to prepare, update, and maintain production documentation including Work Instructions, NCR/ECN processes, and production records on the manufacturing floor.

You will translate complex engineering requirements into clear, practical instructions, collaborate with Engineering, Production and Quality, and support continuous improvement of documentation and processes to enable compliant, efficient manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Prepare, update and maintain production documentation (Work Instructions, NCR/ECN, production records).
• Translate complex engineering requirements into clear, practical instructions for the production floor.
• Ensure documentation is accurate, controlled and aligned with manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain Work Instructions, rework instructions, and technical documentation.
• Support NCR and ECN processes through accurate documentation updates.
• Translate engineering requirements into clear instructions for production use.
• Ensure documentation meets quality and controlled environment standards; work with BOMs, production records and traceability systems.
• Collaborate with Production Engineering, Quality and Operations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of documentation and processes.
