Job summary

Lactalis Australia is seeking a dedicated Production Coordinator for our Harvey Fresh manufacturing team. You will oversee hour-to-hour production activities, ensure safety and quality compliance, and drive efficiency in the UHT and ESL milk lines.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will coordinate shifts, coach teams, enter production confirmations into SAP, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous process improvements in a fast-paced dairy environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in UHT and ESL milk production is essential.
• Degree or equivalent certification in Engineering, Dairy Technology, Food Science or related field.
• Leadership skills and ability to drive results.
• Strong organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP knowledge is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate production operations on a shift basis to meet demand and efficiency targets.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety and food manufacturing standards (HACCP, GMP).
• Monitor production processes and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
• Ensure timely and accurate production confirmation data entry into SAP while identifying and investigate inconsistencies.
• Coordinate and motivate the production team, providing guidance, coaching and feedback.
• Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Be a role model for working safely and promoting a safe working environment.

About our opportunity:

We have an opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Production Coordinator to join our manufacturing team in Harvey Fresh. Reporting to the Production Manager of our UHT & ESL Milk department, the role is responsible for overseeing the hour-to-hour activities of production, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards while optimising efficiency.
