Jobgether in Australia is seeking a Product Owner (Matchmaking) for a partner company. You will shape the post-purchase customer journey, helping paying users discover meaningful connections and get value quickly through targeted recommendations.

You will own hypotheses, run experiments, collaborate with engineers, designers, and data scientists, and drive activation, personalization, and engagement across the first days on the platform.

Qualifications

• Product Management: experience in a B2C product role with ownership of customer experience.
• Discovery-driven: able to drive discovery in high-volume marketplaces.
• Matching/recommendation systems: familiarity with relevance and content feeds.
• Segmentation/personalization: use data to improve outcomes.
• Industry background: experience in marketplaces, dating, social discovery or similar.
• Hypothesis development: translate insights into testable product requirements.
• Experimentation: design and evaluate A/B tests with metrics.
• Delivery & prioritization: manage requirements and coordinate delivery.
• Cross-functional collaboration: communicate with engineers, designers, data specialists.
• Results-focused: pursue measurable business/customer outcomes.
• Ownership/adaptability: take initiative in a dynamic environment.
• Clear communication: convey ideas directly and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Own the post-purchase customer journey, driving activation and meaningful matches.
• Optimize matching & recommendation relevance to provide appropriate options.
• Increase engagement and early meaningful conversations for new users.
• Design and implement engagement mechanisms to boost return visits.
• Use segmentation/personalization to improve recommendations.
• Identify growth opportunities via metrics, feedback, and research.
• Define hypotheses and requirements to support execution.
• Lead cross-functional delivery with engineers, designers, analysts.
• Run experiments and measure results, iterating on successful ideas.
• Continuously improve the customer experience with data-driven decisions.
