Job summary

BYD Australia, based in Mulgrave, is seeking a Product Engineer to lead end-to-end digital solution delivery. This fixed-term contract will bridge local business needs with global IT/product standards, coordinating with sales teams, dealers and international teams.

You will translate requirements into PRDs and user stories, manage the delivery lifecycle, and ensure alignment with global platforms while meeting Australian market needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, CS, Information Systems or related; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 3 years in product management, product engineering, business analysis or digital solution delivery.
• Fluent in English and Chinese with strong communication skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into clear, standardized product solutions.
• Experience in Agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience in marketing, CRM, WMS or SAP is desirable.
• Automotive industry knowledge is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with local sales teams, dealers and overseas units to gather and analyse localized requirements and plan delivery milestones.
• Translate requirements into Product Requirement Documents, user stories and backlogs for global teams.
• Coordinate end-to-end product delivery lifecycle from clarification to launch.
• Work with IT, product, development and business teams to resolve issues throughout delivery.
• Conduct market research and provide recommendations for product improvements.
• Gather feedback from users and monitor performance for continuous optimization.
• Ensure local solutions align with global standards while meeting Australian market needs.
