Job summary

BYD Australia is seeking a Product Engineer to manage end-to-end delivery of digital solutions from requirements gathering through launch. The role sits at the Mulgrave office and collaborates with local sales teams, dealers and global IT/product groups to translate local needs into scalable solutions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or diploma and a minimum of 3 years in product management or digital delivery, with strong English and Chinese communication skills and Agile experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, CS, IS, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in product management/engineering/delivery.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English and Chinese.
• Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with local sales teams, dealers and overseas units to gather requirements and prepare assessments, plans and milestones.
• Translate business requirements into PRDs, user stories and feature backlogs for global teams.
• Coordinate end-to-end product delivery lifecycle: clarification, scheduling, development, testing, implementation and launch.
• Work with IT, product, development and business teams to resolve requirements and issues.
• Conduct market and competitive research to identify digital solutions and improvements.
• Gather feedback from local users and dealers, monitor product performance and identify improvements.
• Ensure local solutions align with global standards while addressing Australian market needs.
