Job summary

Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) is seeking a talented Product Designer for a fixed-term 12-month contract to shape the iview user experience across web, mobile and connected TV. You will own end-to-end design from discovery to delivery within a cross-functional team, applying human-centered practices and audience insights to create accessible, high-quality product experiences.

You will collaborate with Product, Engineering and Research partners, conduct audience research and usability

Qualifications

• Experience turning audience insights into finished UI delivered to users.
• Experience working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary product team.
• Stay up-to-date with market trends in video on demand, streaming, and design communities.
• Experience testing with beta groups and driving experiments to measure outcomes.
• Strong collaboration using remote tools (Figma, Mural/Miro, Atlassian suite, UserTesting).
• Proven track record in leading or mentoring teams and making pragmatic decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product design activities for iview experiences from discovery to delivery.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to evaluate opportunities and feasibility.
• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes and detailed interface designs for engineers.
• Apply human-centred design practices to create intuitive, accessible audience experiences.
• Plan and conduct audience research, usability testing and beta activities with partners.
• Translate insights into design opportunities and roadmap contributions.
• Define and evaluate product experiments to validate proposed changes.
