Job summary

Department of Transport and Main Roads on the Sunshine Coast is seeking a permanent, full-time procurement professional to deliver end-to-end procurement activities in a great regional location.

You will apply procurement policies, support contract administration, supplier negotiation, and reporting, while liaising with internal and external stakeholders to support program delivery and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Applies understanding of procurement policies, procedures and planning to undertake strategic procurement.
• Ability to plan, report progress and manage risks in a public-sector setting.
• Strong communication skills for diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned work and provide accurate procurement advice aligned with policy and processes.
• Monitor end-to-end procurement activity including planning, documentation, evaluation and supplier negotiation.
• Provide professional advice to North Coast Region staff on end-to-end procurement activity.
• Liaise with internal/external stakeholders regarding procurement processes, training and delegations.
• Assist with contract management including planning, administration, AP and reporting.
• Identify and implement initiatives to improve procurement processes and systems.
