Job summary

Newly Weds Foods Australia & New Zealand is seeking a hands-on Purchasing Officer to join our busy team at Wetherill Park. You will procure raw materials, packaging and consumables to support manufacturing across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring timely delivery and accurate ordering.

You will build strong supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, manage pricing data in the ERP/MRP system, monitor stock levels and support continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food industry.
• Strong understanding of purchasing principles and supplier management.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Purchase raw materials and packaging in line with MRP outputs and operational needs.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers for continuity and performance.
• Coordinate and negotiate contracts, forecasting, and purchase orders; handle returns and order changes.
• Identify substitute materials or alternate suppliers while meeting price, delivery, quality, and service standards.
• Prepare procurement-related reports for the Procurement Director.
