Job summary

Intertrading Australia is seeking an experienced Purchasing/Procurement Officer to join our Operations team. You will handle end-to-end purchasing activities, from product research to raising purchase orders and managing vendor relationships within our ERP system.

This pivotal role contributes to smooth procurement operations and requires proactive ownership, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; relevant procurement or supply chain certification a bonus
• Strong Excel and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Researching products for upcoming deals.
• Run timely reports to support supply planning and raise proposed purchase orders.
• Review, verify and generate purchase orders with accurate data entry into the ERP system.
• Maintain accurate ETA dates within the ERP to enable effective supply planning.
• Track domestic and international orders and provide timely updates.
• Verify invoices against PO quantities and costs, and process approvals.
• Liaise with local and overseas suppliers regarding order status and delivery updates.
• Address vendor inquiries and resolve issues related to orders, invoices and payments.
• Coordinate with vendors to confirm order details, timelines, and resolve discrepancies.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Purchasing/Procurement Officer to join our Operations team. Reporting to the Intertrading Major Accounts and Purchasing Supervisor, you will be responsible for the end-to-end administration of purchasing activities. From product research, raising purchase orders and managing vendor relationships to maintaining the ERP system.

This is a key role within our supply chain, and your work will directly contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of our procurement function.

Key Responsibilities

Purchase Order Management
