Job summary

Cult Design is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead centralised procurement, international inbound shipping, and inventory data integrity across its design divisions. Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, you will balance strategic procurement with hands-on leadership of an offshore team in the Philippines and close collaboration with Sales, Logistics, and Showroom teams.

What’s the opportunity

Reporting directly to the Head of Supply Chain, you won’t just be managing orders; you will play a key supporting role within the supply chain function. As the Procurement Manager, your focus will be on centralizing and leading the procurement, international inbound shipping, and inventory data integrity across all Cult business units.

This newly created position sits within a passionate, collaborative, and fast-paced environment that deeply values product authenticity, operational excellence, and mutual support. It is a highly varied role where you will balance strategic supply coordination and freight optimization with hands‑on team leadership through mentoring an offshore team in the Philippines while partnering closely with Sales, Visual Merchandising, Logistics, and Warehouse teams.

What you’ll do

You will focus on driving end-to-end procurement performance, streamlining international shipping, and maintaining seamless supply across retail, e-commerce, and major contract channels.

• Team Leadership & Coaching: direct, coach, and support a 4-person offshore team in the Philippines (comprising Purchasing and Shipping Coordinators), setting clear workflows, priorities, and operational standards.
• Purchasing Oversight: oversee end-to-end purchasing across all brands and categories, ensuring accurate PO creation, tracking stockouts, and aligning supplier lead times with client required dates.
• International Inbound Shipping: manage sea and air freight logistics, overseeing freight forwarders, shipping documentation, customs clearance, and container consolidation to optimize lead times and freight cost control.
• Inventory & System Integrity: oversee stock data accuracy in Options ERP, manage cycle counts and national stocktakes, and coordinate stock allocations for new collection launches, showroom displays, and contract projects.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Visual Merchandising, Logistics, Warehouse, and Production teams to communicate lead-time changes, supplier delays, and stock risks effectively.

What you’ll bring to the role

The ideal candidate is an organized, level-headed, and commercially minded professional who thrives on solving complex supply chain puzzles in a fast-paced SME environment. Success looks like someone who combines analytical rigor with strong interpersonal skills and takes pride in checking off a varied to-do list.

• Team Leadership & Coaching: ability or natural aptitude (ready to step up) to lead, coach, and delegate across remote or offshore teams, maintaining high engagement and consistent operational performance.
• Procurement & Supply Depth: 5+ years of proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management; experience handling "big and bulky" product categories (furniture, homewares, or appliances) with complex freight needs is highly regarded.
• International Shipping Knowledge: solid understanding of international inbound logistics (sea and air freight), container loading/consolidation, freight forwarder management, and Incoterms.
• Technical Savvy: strong proficiency navigating ERP software (experience with Options ERP is a plus) alongside advanced Excel skills.
• Communication Excellence: outstanding written and spoken skills to negotiate effectively with global suppliers and communicate seamlessly with internal stakeholders.
• Qualifications: a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
