Job summary

Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager in a Clerk Grade 9/10 role, based in Sydney with hybrid arrangements. You will provide procurement, commercial and policy advice across a diverse portfolio spanning tourism, hospitality, creative industries and corporate services.

You will lead procurement from source to contract, shape approaches, review key docs and deliver value for money while strengthening procurement capability

Qualifications

• Experience supporting complex procurement activities across a portfolio.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to provide trusted, expert procurement advice.

• Join the Procurement team within Corporate Services where we work across the business to support procurement activities and help deliver great outcomes for the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality & Sport
• This is a Clerk Grade 9/10 role with a salary range $133,348 - $146,945 per annum plus superannuation and leave loading
• Full-time ongoing role based in Sydney - hybrid working arrangements may be available within business operational needs

About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to work across a diverse portfolio spanning tourism, hospitality, creative industries and corporate services.

As Procurement Manager, you will provide trusted procurement, commercial and policy advice to stakeholders across the Department, supporting procurement activities from source to contract. You will help shape procurement approaches, review key documentation and provide expert advice to support informed decision making and value for money outcomes.

As part of a collaborative team, you will also contribute to strengthening procurement capability, processes and practices across the Department.

About You

You are an experienced procurement professional with strong commercial acumen and the ability to provide trusted, expert advice across a broad range of stakeholders.

You bring experience supporting complex procurement activities and can apply sound judgement that balances business needs with governance, probity, risk and value for money considerations. You are confident building relationships, influencing stakeholders and communicating procurement concepts clearly and practically.

Experience working within a government or similarly regulated procurement environment will be highly regarded.
