Perth Airport Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Procurement leader to drive category management and strategic sourcing across multiple portfolios. You will lead a team of Category Managers, shaping procurement strategies and delivering sustainable commercial value aligned with organisational goals.

The role focuses on governance, supplier performance, and ESG initiatives, with a strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement and change leadership within a complex environment.

About the role

Lead and develop a team of Category Managers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement and high performance.

Drive the development and implementation of category and procurement strategies that deliver sustainable commercial value and support organisational objectives.

Oversee end to end procurement activities including planning, market engagement, sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, contract award and implementation.

Provide strategic procurement advice to senior stakeholders, influencing decision making and delivering commercially sound procurement outcomes.

Lead contract and contractor management activities across assigned portfolios, ensuring supplier performance, governance compliance and risk mitigation.

Act as the subject matter expert for TechnologyOne Contracting and Purchasing systems, driving optimisation, reporting and system governance initiatives.

Champion procurement capability uplift through training, eLearning programs and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

Support ESG and supplier diversity initiatives by identifying opportunities to strengthen sustainability outcomes and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander supplier engagement.

About You

Proven experience leading and developing teams, providing commercial advice and driving procurement outcomes in complex business environments.

Strong expertise in category management, sourcing and contract management, including market analysis, procurement planning, negotiation and supplier performance management.

Highly effective stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the confidence to work collaboratively with executives, leaders and external contractors.

Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement, challenge existing ways of working and identify opportunities to optimise commercial performance and business outcomes.

Excellent organisational, communication and decision making skills, with the commercial judgement and resilience to lead teams through change and complex challenges.
