Job summary

Perth Airport Pty Ltd is seeking a Ground Transport Officer to support visitors and keep the airport’s roadways safe and well‑patrolled. The role involves outdoor shifts, including days and nights on a 2-on/2-off cycle, with emphasis on high‑quality customer interactions.

Qualifications

• Proven history and passion for working within a customer service space.
• Experience in outdoor environments and comfortable with 12-hour shifts (2 days on, 2 nights on and 4 days off).
• Strong listening, communication, and compassion.
• Ability to stay calm in challenging situations.
• Hold a full driver's licence.
• Experience or training in traffic management (RIIWHS302D and RIIWHS250D), first aid, and white card; training provided.

About the role

We are currently looking for multiple suitable candidates for our Ground Transport Officer role. You will work on a rotating shift roster, alternating between night and day shifts, covering our car parks and outside terminal forecourt.

Key responsibilities

• Providing guidance, information, and assistance to all Perth Airport visitors
• Delivering exceptional customer service and responding promptly to customer enquiries
• Conducting patrols and routine inspections of Perth Airport roadways, forecourts, and facilities
• Identifying any defects, hazards, or suspicious activity and ensuring area safety
• Maintaining accurate records related to health and safety, training, and customer service

About you

You are confident and willing to provide positive customer service interactions with everyone you meet.

Required qualifications and experience

• Proven history and passion for working within a customer service space
• Proven experience working in outdoor environments and is comfortable working 12-hour shifts - 2 days on, 2 nights on and 4 days off.
• Great listening skills, communication ability and compassion
• The composure to handle challenging situations
• A full Driver's Licence
• Experience in RIIWHS302D - Implement traffic management plan and RIIWHS250D - Control Traffic with a stop-slow bat would be highly desirable, along with a First Aid qualification and white card but training will be provided.
