Job summary

Bellcore in Perth WA is seeking a Purchasing & Logistics Manager to own purchasing, logistics, and warehouse management across multiple branches. The role reports directly to the Regional Manager / Managing Director and drives stock accuracy while balancing supplier negotiations and inventory improvements.

The successful candidate will have five years’ procurement and logistics experience, with strong ERP/finance software skills, and a hands-on approach to managing day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• At least five years' experience in procurement and logistics.
• Experience across local, national and international supply chains.
• Experience working within a multi-branch business.
• Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and freight providers.
• Intermediate skills in Excel, Word and Outlook; MYOB AccountRight and MYOB Acumatica.
• Strong organisation, time management and attention to detail.
• Clear communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to meet deadlines, resolve supply issues and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in blasting or coating industries would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Raising purchase orders for equipment and spare parts with appropriate suppliers
• Managing supplier relationships and negotiating pricing, availability and lead times
• Analysing stock requirements and maintaining availability across the top 200 sales lines
• Following up backorders at least twice weekly and providing clear updates to sales
• Coordinating international freight, negotiating freight rates and reporting on movements weekly
• Maintaining purchasing registers and accurately processing supplier and inventory invoices
• Working with warehouse staff to complete monthly inventory counts and regular stocktakes
• Maintaining inventory accuracy within a ±1.5% variance and investigating discrepancies
• Monitoring stock movements, minimising out-of-stock items and identifying dead stock
• Processing warranty returns and documentation within required timeframes
• Supporting the implementation of a new stock management system when available
