Airblast Australia is seeking a Senior Purchasing and Logistics Professional to lead purchasing, logistics and warehouse management across multiple branches. You will manage local, national and international supply chains, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure accurate stock control and timely reporting.

The role requires autonomy, proactive problem solving, and strong communication with internal teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Enter supplier invoices and ensure correct inventory entries.
Generate purchase orders for equipment and spare parts from suppliers.
Analyze stock and manage key suppliers and backorders.
Keep purchasing register up to date.
Report international freight movements and negotiate pricing and lead times.
Maintain inventory within +/-1.5% and conduct regular stock takes.
Handle warranty returns and paperwork within 24 hours.
Carry out monthly inventory counts with warehouse staff.
Monitor stock movements and advise on dead stock.

Job description

Senior Purchasing and Logistics Professional

Senior Purchasing and Logistics Professional reporting to Regional Manager / Managing Director. This role encompasses purchasing, logistics, and warehouse management across a multi-branch structure, managing local, national and international supply chains.

Key responsibilities

Entry of supplier invoices, ensuring correct entry of inventoried items
Purchase order generation for required equipment and spare parts from appropriate suppliers
Stock analysis and monitor, manage and negotiate key suppliers
Ensure purchasing register is up to date
Backorder follow-ups minimum of twice per week, info provided to sales team
Ensure zero stock outs in top 200 sales lines and communicate supply problems with solutions
Report international freight movements weekly and negotiate freight pricing and lead times
Accurate and prompt entry of inventory invoices (purchases & sales)
Maintenance of inventory within (+/-) 1.5% variation and complete regular stock takes
Warranty returns and paperwork completed within 24 hours and handed to Financial Controller
Carry out monthly inventory counts with warehouse staff
Monitor inventory levels, minimise NIL stocks and advise on Dead stock
Monitor stock movements and implement new stock system when available

Computing skills, including intermediate competency with Windows based products especially Excel, Word & Outlook MYOB Accountright and MYOB Acumatica
