Job summary

Civil Services Group in Queensland seeks expressions of interest from experienced Environmental Officers/Advisors/Consultants for a 1–2 year assignment in the Rockhampton region, with potential extensions and other projects into the future. The role focuses on delivering timely, compliant environment services to keep construction programs on schedule.

You should have a degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering and 2–3 years’ relevant experience on road infrastructure projects,

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering.
• 2–3 years’ experience on green or brownfield infrastructure projects.
• Experience on TMR Roads Infrastructure Projects or Australian Road Authorities.
• Experience in desktop and field surveillance, data collection and analysis.
• Planning, conducting and closing out field audits per Environmental Management Plans.
• Experience in erosion and sediment control on linear transport infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Provision of timely, efficient, compliant environment services to avoid delays to construction programs.
• Managing resources and funds to meet the needs of the program.
• Ensuring the program complies with legislation and internal processes while identifying areas for improvement.
