Procurement People on the Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Procurement Advisor for a 12-month contract to support a regional team and provide high-quality procurement advice across the full lifecycle.

You will partner with internal clients, ensure compliance with policies and governance, and drive process improvements while coaching junior staff and delivering practical procurement solutions.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a procurement advisory or procurement specialist role.
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end procurement processes from planning to contract management.
  • Experience providing procurement advice to internal stakeholders and business clients.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to interpret and apply procurement policies, legislation and governance requirements.
  • Experience identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing practical solutions.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple procurement activities and competing priorities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a regional team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely, accurate and professional procurement advice to internal clients and stakeholders.
  • Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including procurement planning, documentation, tendering, evaluation, supplier negotiations and contract documentation.
  • Provide advice and support throughout the procurement lifecycle, including contract management and the use of established supply arrangements.
  • Work collaboratively with regional and departmental counterparts to share knowledge and continuously improve procurement practices.
  • Monitor procurement activity, performance and resource utilisation, providing analysis and reporting as required.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and external parties.
  • Identify and implement business improvement initiatives to streamline procurement processes and improve the customer experience.
  • Support and coach procurement support staff, identifying development and training requirements.
  • Ensure procurement practices comply with relevant departmental policies, legislation, WHS requirements and governance obligations.
  • Contribute to successful business outcomes through effective procurement planning, stakeholder engagement and performance monitoring.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Advisor for an initial 12 month contract to join a regional team and provide high-quality procurement advice and support across a broad range of procurement activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional who enjoys working across the full procurement lifecycle, partnering with stakeholders and contributing to improved procurement processes and business outcomes.

About the Role

As Procurement Advisor, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end procurement activities, providing expert advice to internal clients and ensuring procurement activities align with relevant policies, governance frameworks and legislative requirements.

You will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver effective procurement outcomes while identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems and customer service.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience working in a procurement advisory or procurement specialist role.
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end procurement processes, from planning and sourcing through to contract management.
  • Experience providing procurement advice to internal stakeholders and business clients.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to interpret and apply procurement policies, legislation and governance requirements.
  • Experience identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing practical solutions.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple procurement activities and competing priorities.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a regional team.
Essential Requirements
  • Current Class C driver's licence.
  • Ability to successfully complete the required employment screening, including a criminal history check.
