Job summary

Nerang, Gold Coast & Hinterland QLD is seeking an experienced Procurement Advisor to join a Queensland Government department’s South Coast regional team, based in Nerang. You will provide practical procurement advice, coordinate end-to-end procurement activities and support regional clients to achieve sound commercial outcomes while ensuring policy, governance and legislation are followed.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating end-to-end procurement activities.
• Ability to provide clear, customer-focused procurement advice.
• Strong written communication, organisation and analytical skills.
• Confidence working with a range of stakeholders and building productive relationships.
• Continuous-improvement mindset and ability to coach colleagues.
• Understanding of procurement governance, policy and compliance requirements.
• Current Class C driver’s licence.
• Willingness to undergo employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement activities from planning through evaluation and contract management.
• Provide timely, accurate procurement advice and support to clients.
• Support use of supply arrangements and preparation of contract documentation.
• Monitor procurement performance, analyse information and contribute to reporting.
• Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify and implement improvements to procurement processes and procedures.
• Lead and coach support staff, helping identify skill and training needs.
• Ensure work practices meet departmental policies and governance obligations.
