Job summary

Sharp & Carter is seeking an experienced Procurement Lead to establish and develop its procurement function. You will shape policy, govern supplier relationships and drive value across a multi-entity environment.

You will lead end-to-end sourcing, tendering and contract negotiations, identify cost-saving opportunities and collaborate with stakeholders to implement practical procurement solutions. This is a pivotal role for commercial improvement and governance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience across procurement, sourcing or commercial functions.
• Experience across indirect or corporate procurement.
• Experience developing or improving procurement frameworks, processes or governance.
• Strong tendering, negotiation, supplier and contract management capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing procurement policies, processes and governance frameworks.
• Managing end-to-end sourcing, tendering and contract negotiations.
• Reviewing existing supplier and contractual arrangements and identifying opportunities for improved value.
• Identifying and delivering cost‑saving and commercial improvement opportunities.
• Improving spend visibility and supplier management across the Group.
• Working across categories including property, facilities, cleaning, gardening, utilities, IT and professional services.
• Developing stronger supplier onboarding, governance and performance management processes.
• Partnering with stakeholders across multiple business units to understand requirements and implement practical procurement solutions.
• Driving continuous improvement across procurement systems and processes.
• Providing leadership and direction to an existing staff member.
• Developing a longer‑term procurement strategy and roadmap.

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Procurement Lead to join a growing organisation and play a key role in establishing and developing its procurement function.

This is a newly created opportunity for a procurement professional who enjoys building structure, improving processes and delivering tangible commercial outcomes. You will work across a complex, multi-entity environment with significant opportunity to review existing supplier arrangements, strengthen governance and identify opportunities to improve value.

This is not a role where you'll simply inherit an established procurement framework. You'll have the opportunity to shape how procurement operates across the Group and work closely with stakeholders to implement sustainable change.

The Role

About You

We're looking for a commercially minded procurement professional who is comfortable operating autonomously and enjoys working in an environment where they can genuinely make an impact.

You will ideally have:

• 5+ years' experience across procurement, sourcing or commercial functions.
• Strong experience across indirect or corporate procurement.
• Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end procurement processes.
• Experience developing or improving procurement frameworks, processes or governance.
• Strong tendering, negotiation, supplier and contract management capability.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• The ability to work through complex or imperfect data and identify commercial opportunities.
• A consultative and pragmatic approach to implementing change.
• Strong resilience and the ability to operate effectively within a changing environment.
