Job summary

Chef Fresh in Banksmeadow is hiring a Process Worker for sanitation on the AM shift. You will keep equipment and production areas clean, assist with changeovers and downtime cleans, and support start-up readiness while following safety procedures.

You’ll work in a wet, cold environment, lift and stand for long periods, and receive training to perform cleaning duties safely. A team-focused, respectful workplace awaits.

About the role

Join us at Chef Fresh as a Process Worker in a hands-on role that plays a vital part in keeping our production operations clean, safe and efficient. You'll ensure equipment, utensils and production areas are cleaned and sanitised to meet food safety, hygiene and quality standards, while supporting your team with production changeovers, downtime cleans, allergen cleans and start-up readiness activities. All required PPE will be provided to help you perform your daily tasks safely.

About you and your skills

• Comfortable working in a wet, cold and temperature-controlled production environment
• Capable of safely performing physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods
• Willing to learn and complete relevant training to perform cleaning duties safely and effectively
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
• Confident safely handling and using cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety procedures and processes
• Take pride in maintaining a clean and safe workplace, following procedures and working as part of a large team

Desired for the role:

• Commercial kitchen hand experience preferred
• Food manufacturing industry cleaning experience
