Job summary

Inghams is inviting applications for a Process worker to support our Further Processing Plant. This hands-on role offers day and afternoon shifts from Monday to Friday, with some weekend work. No prior experience is required as full job training is provided.

Qualifications

• Good command of English (spoken and written).
• Ability to work under minimum supervision in a small team.
• Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Capable of performing tasks efficiently and accurately according to policies and standards.
• Ability to understand, interpret and follow instructions and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Process and inspect raw materials safely according to quality specifications.
• Perform manual handling tasks including lifting, pulling, pushing, bending and reaching.
• Clean and maintain a tidy workspace.
• Store and maintain materials, equipment and tools.
• Work in a cold environment.
• Identify and escalate Food Safety & Quality issues, hazards and risks.
• Participate in safety initiatives and follow safety rules.
• Be a reliable and engaged team member.

Daily Tasks:

• Process and inspect raw materials safely and systematically, according to the quality specifications.
• Perform manual handling tasks which include lifting, pulling, pushing, bending, and reaching.
• Cleaning duties and maintaining a clean workspace.
• Store and maintain materials, equipment, and tools.
• Ability to work in a cold environment.
• Identify and elevate Food Safety & Quality issues, hazards, and risks.
• Participate in safety initiatives, follow the safety rules, speak up, and be mindful of risks.
• Being an active, committed, and reliable team member.

You will bring to this role:

• Ability to work under minimum supervision in a small team.
• Capable of performing tasks efficiently, correctly, and systematically in accordance with policies and standards.
• Ability to understand, correctly interpret and follow instructions, procedures, and information.
• Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Good command of English both verbal and written.
• Able to respond calmly and methodically when faced with obstacles.
• Candidates with a Forklift license are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Candidates who are keen to work in our Protein Conversion Plant, holder of an Elevated Work Platform certificate, and/or Boiler ticket would be an advantage.
• Good level of fitness is required as you will manually handle up to 5kg- 15kg.
• Must be able to work with a move production line.
