Job summary

Core Crew Training is seeking an experienced Process Trainer to support a major overseas mining operation on an expat roster, enhancing capability, compliance, and consistency across site operations.

You will lead onsite training, competency assessments, and onboarding for operators, leveraging your hands-on knowledge of mobile mining equipment and production processes to ensure safe, efficient execution of site activities.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment required or equivalent.
• Strong operational experience in mining operations.
• Experience with mobile mining equipment and production processes.
• Experience in training delivery, competency assessment, or SOP development within mining.
• Strong communication skills to engage operators and supervisors.
• Safety-focused mindset with coaching passion.
• Willingness to work on an overseas expat assignment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality training and competency assessments for mining operators.
• Develop, review, and update SOPs, training materials, and competency frameworks for mobile mining equipment.
• Provide on-the-job coaching and mentoring across core production activities.
• Support onboarding and VOC processes for employees and contractors.
• Identify skill gaps and recommend targeted training and development programs.
• Maintain accurate training, VOC, and competency records.
• Work with operations leadership, safety, and training teams to drive continuous improvement and safe production outcomes.

The Opportunity

Core Crew Trainingis seeking an experienced Process Trainer to support a major overseas mining operation on an expat roster, improving capability, compliance, and consistency across site operations.

This role suits an experienced trainer with strong hands-on knowledge of mobile mining equipment and production processes. You will play a key role in onboarding, upskilling, and verifying the competency of operational personnel, ensuring safe, efficient, and consistent execution of site activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality training and competency assessments for mining operators
• Develop, review, and update SOPs, training materials, and competency frameworks for mobile mining equipment
• Provide on-the-job coaching and mentoring across core production activities
• Support onboarding and Verification of Competency (VOC) processes for employees and contractors
• Identify skill gaps and recommend targeted training and development programs
• Maintain accurate training, VOC, and competency records in line with site and regulatory requirements
• Work closely with operations leadership, safety, and training teams to drive continuous improvement and safe production outcomes

About You

• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)
• Strong operational experience in mining operations
• Proven capability across mobile mining and production equipment
• Previous experience in training delivery, competency assessment, or SOP development within a mining environment
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage operators and supervisors at all levels
• Safety-focused mindset with a genuine passion for coaching and developing people
• Willingness and ability to work on an overseas expat assignment
