Job summary

Linde in Melbourne is seeking a production operator to join our gases production team. You will perform duties across production areas, adhering to GMP for Medicinal Products and DG Act considerations, while supporting safety and quality standards.

You must be able to read procedures, follow rosters, and participate in a rotating schedule, including day and afternoon shifts. Physical fitness and compliance with workplace rules are essential.

Qualifications

• Forklift competency preferred and safety training.
• Two years exposure to industrial environment.
• Able to read, write and comprehend operating procedures and communicate under test conditions.
• Understanding of Dangerous Goods Act implications.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures and report deviations.
• Report and record product non-conformances.
• Report hazards and incidents (including environmental consequences).
• Perform production duties across areas and rotate between areas as required.
• Commit to the roster system in each area.
• Handle and fill medical cylinders per Australian Code of Good Manufacturing Practice for Medicinal Products.
• Fill industrial gases to specifications.
• Undertake duties as directed by Team Leader within competence.
• Maintain level of physical/medical fitness for the position.

Job description

What you will enjoy doing

• Conducting work in accordance with procedures and reporting deviations
• Reporting and recording product non-conformances
• Reporting hazards & incidents (including those with environmental consequences)
• The incumbent will be required to perform production duties in all areas and may be required to move between production areas daily if necessary.
• The incumbent must commit to the agreed roster system in each area in which they are committed to work.
• Filling and handling of all medical cylinders in accordance with the requirements of the Australian Code of Good Manufacturing Practice for Medicinal Products.
• Filling of Industrial Air Products gases i.e. Air, Nitrogen, Oxygen, Argon, Argoshield gas mixtures plus all special gas mixtures at MOC to company specifications.
• Undertake any duties as directed by your Team Leader that are within the appropriate levels of competence and training and consistent with this role.
• Exhibit a level of physical/medical fitness intrinsic to the requirements of the position.

• Formal certification in relevant production activities.

• The ability and willingness to work day shift and afternoon shifts, on a rotational or relief basis if necessary.

• Ability to read, write, comprehend operating procedures and communicate answers under test conditions.
• An understanding of the implications relating to working within the guidelines of the Dangerous Goods Act.
