Job summary

Transdev Australia & New Zealand is seeking an IT Application Support Engineer in Melbourne to maintain operational stability of business-critical apps across Australasia, liaising with stakeholders and vendors.

You will investigate incidents, drive problem management, manage changes, support deployments, and contribute to proactive improvements in a collaborative, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in application support within a medium to large enterprise.
• Strong incident, problem and change management understanding (ITIL).
• Experience with vendor relationships and SLA management.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of operational health, performance and availability of assigned business applications.
• Investigate, diagnose and resolve complex application incidents, coordinating with vendors and technical teams.
• Drive problem management, identify recurring issues and implement permanent improvements.
• Manage application changes through impact assessment, testing, deployment and validation.
• Act as liaison with vendors, manage escalations, upgrades and SLA performance.
• Develop and maintain application support documentation, runbooks and procedures.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to maintain secure and compliant applications.
• Support implementations, upgrades, migrations and transitions to BAU support.
• Monitor performance and identify opportunities for automation and optimisation.
• Participate in an on-call roster for critical support.
