Job summary

Transdev is seeking an IT Application Support Engineer to ensure operational stability and continuous improvement of business-critical applications across Australasia. You will bridge business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and project teams to ensure reliable, secure, and well-supported applications throughout their lifecycle.

The role emphasizes solving complex problems, improving systems, and driving a shift from reactive support to proactive management across SaaS, COTS, and on-premise

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' experience in application support, business systems administration, or IT operations.
• Experience supporting line-of-business applications across multi-vendor environments.
• Strong ITIL incident, problem, and change management knowledge.
• Experience managing vendor relationships and SLA performance.
• Familiarity with SaaS, COTS, and on-premises integrations.
• Platform certifications (Microsoft, Salesforce, SAP, Oracle) highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Own the health, performance, and availability of assigned business applications.
• Investigate and resolve complex incidents with vendors and tech teams.
• Drive problem management and implement permanent fixes.
• Manage application changes through testing and deployment.
• Liaise with vendors, manage escalations and SLAs.
• Develop and maintain runbooks and support docs.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams.
• Support implementations, upgrades, migrations into BAU.
• Monitor performance and identify optimization opportunities.
• Participate in on-call roster for critical support.
