Job summary

Alex Gatfield in Melbourne is seeking to hire an Associate Advisor to join the Melbourne team, supporting 3 leading private client advisers and their high-net-worth clients.

The role will involve liaising with clients, placing trades on their behalf, and providing operational support to the team, with a background of 2+ years in stockbroking or private wealth advisory support preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in a banking-related discipline.
• RG 146 (ideally – if not will be paid for to study).
• 2+ years' experience in stockbroking or private wealth advisory support.
• Strong communication via phone and client-facing interactions.
• Familiarity with US/UK tax forms like W8BEN and CRS preferable.
• FOFA-related forms understanding preferable.
• Knowledge of financial markets fundamentals.
• Prior broking Operations experience highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Handle administrative client queries.
• On-board clients and create client records in systems.
• Maintain client accounts in line with AML/CTF, KYC regulations.
• Manage IPO and corporate action allocations.
• Prepare client valuations, asset allocations and reporting.
• Assist with client asset transfers domestically and internationally.
• Process and monitor stock settlements and follow up on funds.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and departments.
• Proactively inform advisers of issues with proposed solutions and timeframes.
• Adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements.
