Job summary

Anton Murray Consulting is seeking a Fund Accounting - Assistant Manager for a Sydney-based private capital team. You will provide high-quality accounting and reporting support to alternative investment funds and lead month-end close processes.

5+ years in fund accounting, strong knowledge of Private Equity, and familiarity with eFront Invest are highly preferred. You will mentor juniors, liaise with fund managers, and ensure regulatory compliance while delivering accurate client reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in fund accounting or similar role.
• Thorough understanding of fund accounting principles and regulations.
• Thorough knowledge of Private Equity investments.
• Experience supervising and developing junior staff.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
• Experience with eFront Invest is highly preferred.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review daily, monthly, and annual financial reports for alternative investment funds.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes for funds.
• Liaise with fund managers, administrators, and stakeholders to gather information.
• Assist with setting up new funds and accounting systems.
• Mentor junior team members and share expertise.
• Stay updated on regulations and accounting standards.
• Prepare client presentations and respond to ad-hoc requests.
